HOW TO GET TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR SCHENGEN VISA AND EUROPE

Are you applying for a Schengen Visa but don't know where to get Travel Insurance? This blog is for you. I will guide you on how to get it ONLINE and how much you will pay.

The embassy advised the applicants to get a travel insurance in a company that meet the minimum requirements for Schengen Area including medical costs of 30,000 Euro. In my experience, when I applied for a visit visa & family reunification visa bound for Germany, I bought travel insurance online at AXA- Schengen.

For over 10 years AXA has been delivering insurance certificates which meet EU countries’ requirements to obtain a Schengen visa.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO BUY AXA- Schengen Travel Insurance - ONLINE

1) Go to their official website or you can easily click here.

2) Change to any preferred language.

3) Provide the number of people (beneficiaries) and the intended travel coverage.

The date entered here is from the date of your flight from your home country to Schengen country and to your flight date from Schengen to home country.

( Example: From- October 01, 2023 intended flight date 

To- December 29, 2023 intended return flight date 

for a total of 90 days then click Get a Quote.

4) Now, you can select in any of the 3 offers for 90 Days from AXA Schengen.

Schengen Low Cost (Essential) - €98 (5,939.30 PHP)
Covers all countries part of the Schengen area
Medical Cost €30,000

Schengen Europe Travel (Serenity) - €167 (10,121.05 PHP)
Medical expenses covered up to €100,000

Schengen Multi Trip (Annual) - €328 (19,878.47 PHP)
Frequent traveler

(The price will of course depend on your intended duration of stay (days) in Schengen Area.) 

In my experience, I always choose the Schengen Europe Travel (Serenity) but if you only have a budget expenses then Schengen Low Cost is best for you.

5) Fill the form for the subscriber's information (the one who pays the insurance).




You can check the box if you are also the one to be insured.

Confirm and Pay.


6) Fill the form for the Beneficiary's information (the one who needs to be insured).

 Confirm and Pay.

7) Double check the information if all are correct. Click the 2 boxes and then click confirm and pay.

8) Choose your preferred payment method. 

 Confirm payment.

9) After payment, the documents and insurance certificate for your visa application will be available for download on the confirmation page and sent to your email.

10) Print your insurance policy certificate and submit it with your Schengen visa application.
